Janardhana Reddy's House, Office

Bellary, Karnataka, Oct 26 (UNI) Income Tax Department officials today conducted raid on the Office, Residence and Mines belonging to G Janardhana Reddy, Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council.

According to initial information over 100 officials from Davanagere, with the assistance of local police, began conducting raid simultaneously on the Houses of many of the relatives of Mr Reddy, his Rukmini Steels and Obalapur Mines in the District bordering Andhra Pradesh.

However, the print and electronic media were prohibited from covering and police had cordoned off the places of raids.

The department officials also searched offices and homes of some other mine owners in the city.

Details of the seizures made was not immediately known as search operations was still continuing, department sources said.
