HCDP on at three places: Official

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 25: Handloom Cluster Development Programmes are being implemented in Tiruchirapalli, Tiruvannamalai and Kurinjipadi in Cuddalore District of Tamil Nadu with financial assistance from the Union Government, Handlooms Assistant Director T Neelakannan said.

He told newspersons on the sidelines of inauguration of a handloom exhibition here on Oct 24 the four-year programmes would each cost Rs two crore. The sales target for the current year's exhibition was fixed at Rs 20 lakh against Rs 18 lakh last year.
