Chennai, Oct 24 (UNI) All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) General Secretary Debabrata Biswas today denied all reports claiming Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had offered to resign over the Left's opposition to the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Dr Singh did not drop any hint of quitting in the wake of Left's continued opposition to the nuclear deal during the meeting with Left parties, Mr Biswas said.

To a question, he said: ''In none of the five meetings convened by the UPA with the Left parties to discuss the impasse over the Deal, had Dr Singh expressed his desire to quit''.

''No, the Prime Minister had not expressed his desire to quit over the Left's consistent opposition to the Deal,'' Mr Biswas, who has attended all the five UPA-Left meetings, reiterated.
