Next Session to summon within 45 days

Puducherry, Oct 24 (UNI) The Monsoon Session of the Territorial Assemby, which was adjourned sine die after ten minutes of commencement today morning, will summon again within 45 days.

According to Legislative Assembly Secretariate sources, the administration had forwarded the Ordinance promulgated on July 1 to the Centre for concurrence and due to delay the concurrence could not be obtained. Hence, Chief Minister N Rangasamy had placed the copy of the Ordinance in the House and provided it to all the members.

It was customary that a debate on the issue would be held in the House and a Bill in this regard be introduced and passed in the House within 45 days. Hence, the Assembly would be summoned to meet again by the end of November or early December, the sources added.
