Lupin Q2 net doubles at Rs 118.08 cr

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) Drug maker Lupin Ltd today said its net profit has more than doubled at Rs 118.08 crore during the second quarter ended September 2007 from Rs 58.30 crore for the same quarter a year ago, posting a whopping 102.53 per cent growth.

Total income has increased from Rs 512.09 crore for the quarter ended September last year to Rs 731.93 crore for the quarter ended September this year, a statement said.

Earlier this month, Lupin had acquired a majority stake in Japanese generic drug maker Kyowa Pharmaceutical Industry Company Ltd.
