It's better to go for polls: Congress leader

Mysore, Oct 24 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister C K Jaffer Shariff today said ''it is better for all political parties to go for elections rather than joining hands with JD(S) and form a coalition government in Karnataka.'' Terming as rumours the reports about the JD(S) trying to join hands with the Congress for forming a coalition government again, he said the final decision on the issue of forming coalition government with the JD(S) was left to Sonia Gandhi.

On JD(S) leader M P Prakash meeting Congress leaders in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Shariff said he was not aware of the meeting and hence does not want to comment on it.
