Hema Ram Chaudhary recognised as Leader of Opposition

Jaipur, Oct 24 (UNI) Newly nominated Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Leader Hema Ram Chaudhary has been designated as Leader of the Opposition in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in place of his predecessor Ram Narain Chaudhary.

Assembly Speaker Sumitra Singh told UNI that she was conveyed by Congress state President CP Joshi, of the changes in the CLP leadership and accordingly she had already issued notification to recognise the new CLP leader as leader of the opposition.

Meanwhile, Mr Chaudhary formally assumed charge from Mr Ram Narain Chaudhary here this afternoon.

Congress, the principal opposition group in the state assembly, presently holds 54 seats in 200-member house.
