Bachchan agri land case posted to Nov 5

Lucknow, Oct 24 (UNI) Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today posted the Amitabh Bachchan agricultural land case for next hearing to November 5.

A single judge bench of Justice A N Verma passed this order.

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government counsel Devendra Upadhayay contended that since Amitabh was not the owner of the said piece of land, he had no power to donate it.

Mr Upadhayay maintained that the Bollywood actor had not submitted any document to prove his ownerhsip on the 'gramsabha' land of Daulatpur village in Barabanki district.

On the last hearing, the actor, in his affidavit, had offerred to forgo his ownership on the land, if all criminal, civil and revenue charges against him were dropped.
