Winter session of Pondy Assembly starts tomorrow

Puducherry, Oct 23 (UNI) The winter session of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly will begin here tomorrow.

The session is likely to last only for a day.

The session is expected to be stormy with the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) demanding exclusive reservation for minorities on the lines of the Bill passed in neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu and the elected local body representatives demanding devolution of powers to them.

The Opposition parties were likely to rake up issues such as the deteriorating law and order situation and spread of Dengue.
