Lobster business booming in Gujarat

Okha, Oct 23 2007: Fishermen in Saurashtra region of western India, located on the Arabian Sea coast of Gujarat state are reaping rich dividends as the production of lobster fish has augmented in 2007.

In the first quarter of 2007-08, the country's seafood exports were to the tune of 94059 tones valued at rupees 1430.91 crores as compared to 6, 12,641 tonnes in 2006-07.
