Three of a family killed in house collapse

Hassan, Karnataka, Oct 23 (UNI) Three persons, including a woman and and her child, were crushed to death and another child was injured when wall of their house collapsed amidst heavy rains at Marishettyhalli in this district last night.

Police said the incident occurred as heavy rains lashed the district during the last two days.

While the husband, wife and their child died while they were fast asleep, their other infant miraculously escaped death. Neighbours rescued the child which suffered minor injuries and took it to a hospital where it was recovering, police added.

The dead were identified as Basavaraju 935) Bharathi (25) and Kiran (5).
