Suzlon Energy Q2 net up 40% at Rs 355.58 cr

New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Suzlon Energy Ltd today said it has posted a net profit of Rs 355.58 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 whereas it was Rs 253.49 crore for the same quarter during the previous fiscal.

Total income also rose to Rs 1718.73 crore from Rs 1298.15 crore in the said period.

The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 394.70 crore after shares in associate's profit and minority interest for Q2 FY 2007-08 whereas the same was at Rs 235.37 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Total income jumped to Rs 3694.75 crore from Rs 2095.63 crore in the said period.

The consolidated financial results for the half year/quarter ended September 30, 2007 are not comparable with the figures of prior periods as it's subsidiary has acquired Belgium-based Eve Holding NV, company said in a statement.
