Spice launches 'Spice eBerry' for net on mobiles

Bangalore, Oct 23 (UNI) Spice Telecom today launched 'Spice eBerry' to help access internet on the mobile phone.

Talking to newsmen after the launch, Spice Karnataka COO Rakesh Singh said "it's our endeavour to bring technology to the masses.

"Spice eBerry makes consumers' existing phone more versatile. We believe our corporate and even individual customers who need e-mail access even when on the move can greatly benefit from this service without having to change their phone.'' Through 'Spice eBerry, which is as simple as SMC, one can send, receive, read, move and delate mails at his discretion. Moreover, True Push Technology ensures instant delivery of e-mails to the phone.

Mr Singh said 'Spice-eBerry' supports over 240 phones from all major manufacturers, including Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Windows Pocket PC.

Regarding security, 'Spice-eBerry' has ensured the data on mobile devices was end-to-end protected with highly secure 128-bit AES encryption.

On tariffs for the new service, two different plans, in both pre-paid as well as post-paid, were available.

Customers on a prepaid connection would have to pay a monthly rental of Rs 249, while post-paid customers would have three plans -- Base Plan I for Rs 249, Mid Plan II for Rs 498 and High End Plan III for Rs 599 with free data usage bundled into every plan.
