Spice launches 'Spice eBerry'

Bangalore, Oct 23 (UNI) Internet access has been made simple and easy with the lunch of 'Spice eBerry' by Spice Telecom.

With eBerry, one need not look around for Cyber Cafe or possess lap top to have access to internet, it would now be available on press of button in mobile telephone.

Speaking to newsmen after launch the service, Spice Karnataka COO Rakesh Singh said ''Its our endeavour to bring technology to the masses. 'Spice eBerry' makes out consumers existing phone more versatile. We believe that our Corporate customers and even individual customers who need email access even when on the move can greatly benefit from this service without having to change their phone".

He said that through spice eBerry, which is as simple as SMC, one can send, receive, read, move and delate mails at his discretion.

Moreover, true Push Technology ensures instant delivery of emails to the phone.

Mr Singh said that Spice-eBerry service supports a wide variety of over 240 phones from all major manufacturers including Nokia, sony Ericsson, Windows Pocket PC etc.

Regarding security, Spice-eBerry ensured that the data on mobile devices was end-to-end protected with highly secure 128-bit AES encryption.

About tariff for the new service, two different plans both prepaid as well as postpaid is available. Customers on a prepaid connection would have to pay a monthly rental of Rs 249, while postpaid customers would have three base plans-Base Plan I for Rs 249, Midplan II for Rs 498 and High End Plan III for Rs 599 with free data usage bundled into every plan.
