SPF Raising Day celebrated in AP

Hyderabad, Oct 23 (UNI) The 16th Raising Day of Special Protection Force (SPF) was celebrated today at SPF Commando Training Academy in Medak district.

An official release here said the SPF, which was formed in 1991, provided security to various government installations, defence establishments and industries in Andhra Pradesh.

The SPF presently had a strength of 2404 personnel, who were deployed at various units in the state, the release added.
