Siemens bags Rs 3,300 m order from Tata Steel

Chennai, Oct 23 (UNI) Siemens's Power Transmission and Distribution (PTD) has bagged a Rs 3,300 million order from Tata Steel to provide power distribution network solutions for their Greenfield plant in Orissa.

A company release here today said the scope of work for Siemens included the supply of latest high voltage and medium voltage gas, insulated switchgears, MV switchboards, control and protection panels, substation control and automation systems and energy management system.

The project was scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2009, the release added.
