Registration of marriage made compulsory in UT

Chandigarh, Oct 23 (UNI) All marriages solemnised in Chandigarh shall be compulsorily registered with immediate effect as per the decision of the UT Administration.

Registration of marriages would be done by Marriage Registration Officer/Registrar of Marriages.

An official release today said the ADC and District Revenue Officer have been designated as Marriage Officer and Registrar of Marriages respectively.
