One arrested for aiding prisoner's escape

Ranchi, Oct 23 (UNI) One person was nabbed by the local people and handed over to police for allegedly aiding an undertrial escape from the civil court premises here today.

Police said three people tried to set undertrail Lakhan Singh free from police custody, who was brought in for hearing in the court of Additional Judicial Commissioner Rambabu Gupta.

One of them, identified as Pramod Ekka, was nabbed, with a loaded revolver in his possession, police added.
