Netherlands Queen to meet President, PM tomorrow

New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, currently on a week-long visit to India, will meet President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here tomorrow, giving impetus to the overall growth of Indo-Dutch relations.

The Queen, who arrived here yesterday at the invitation of President Pratibha Patil, will also visit Jaipur and Bangalore.

Tomorrow, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Leader of Opposition L K Advani and Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma will call on the Queen.

The delegation of Queen Beatrix includes Prince of Orange and Princess Maxima and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Verhagen.

An economic mission led by Minister of Economic Affairs Ms Van der Hoeven, and CEOs of top Dutch companies are also accompanying her.

The companies will attend CEOs forum, interacting with India business and indusry leaders. The Forum would be addressed by Commerce and Indusry Minister Kamal Nath.

Queen Beatrix is visiting India after twenty-one years, her first visit as Queen being in January 1986.

Contacts between India and the Netherlands go back several centuries.

Bilateral economic and commercial relations are vibrant with areas of common interest including transort and logistics infrastructure, water management, environment, agriculture and food processing, services snd technology.
