MCA student commits suicide

Varanasi, Oct 23 (UNI) An MCA student allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in Dashwashamedh area here today.

Ujwal Mukherjee (27), pursuing MCA from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), resorted to the extreme step at his house in Madanpura area, police said.

A suicide note, purportedly written by Ujwal, stated non-preparation for the impending examination as the reason for the suicide, police added.

The body has been sent for post-mortem.
