Lucknow, Oct 23 (UNI) Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today extended the stay till October 31, on any action based on the report of Lucknow divisional commissioner regarding the state capital's alleged Gomti Nagar plot allotment scam.

This order was passed by a division bench comprising Justices Uday Krishna Dhawan and S S Chauhan on a petition filed by Shiv Singh Yadav and others.

The bench will hear the case on October 31.

In the last hearing, the bench had ordered a stay on any action, based on the report of Lucknow divisional commissioner Vijay Shankar Pandey.

The petitioners had challenged Mr Pandey's report submitted to the Uttar Pradesh government on September 26.

The report had alleged discrepancies in the allotment of 28 plots in Gomti Nagar's Vipul Khand and recommended tough action against the then Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) vice-chairman and several other senior officials.
