Love birds commit suicide

Varanasi, Oct 23 (UNI) A young girl and her paramour allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a running train in Phoolpur area here today.

Disfigured bodies of Savita (19) and Pankaj (20), both residents of Jagdishpur village in Phoolpur, were recovered near the Jagdishpur Karkha railway crossing on the Lucknow-Varanasi rail route this morning, police said.

Police suspect that family opposition to their relationship forced Pankaj and Savita to take the extreme step.

Bodies have been sent for post mortem and further investigations are on.
