Iraq to close Kurdish rebel offices - PM Maliki

BAGHDAD, Oct 23 (Reuters) Iraq will close the offices of Kurdish rebel group the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and stop them from operating in Iraq, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said today.

''The PKK is a terrorist organisation and we have taken a decision to shut down their offices and not allow them to operate on Iraqi soil. We will also work on limiting its terrorist activities which are threatening Iraq and Turkey,'' a statement from Maliki's office said.
