Deccan cancels Chennai-Coimbatore flight
Chennai, Oct 23 (UNI) Low cost carrier Deccan (erstwhile Air Deccan) today cancelled its Chennai-Coimbatore flight as the weather conditions in the textile city were not conducive for landing.
Airport sources said the flight, with 54 passengers on board, took off late last night. However, following heavy rains, the aircraft was diverted to Bangalore. After several failed attempts to fly to Coimbatore due to adverse weather conditions, Deccan announced the cancellation of the flight and flew back to Chennai.
