CPI congratulates Hu Jintao on being re-elected
New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) has greeted Chinese President Hu Jintao on being re-elected as Secretary General of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for another five-year term.
In a message sent to President HU, Party General Secretary A B Bardhan said, ''Our party has keenly followed the deliberations of the 17th party Congress as reported in the media.'' ''The concept of scientific outlook on the development which the party congress has endorsed, is in our view an important contribution to the theoretical outlook of building socialism,'' he added.
''It is a continuation of the Marxist world outlook that has guided the CPC and generalised the vast experience that the party has gathered in the course of its victorious march.
We are confident that it will help solve problems that have arisen against the backdrop of China's rapid economic growth,'' he stated.

that
China
would
benefit
tremendously
under
his
leadership,
Mr
Bardhan
said,
''We
wish
all
success
to
the
communist
party
of
China
under
your
leadership
in
its
endeavour
to
build
a
harmonious
socialist
society
with
its
specific
characteristics,
and
look
forward
to
growing
ties
of
friendship
between
China
and
India,
between
the
two
peoples
and
further
strengthening
of
the
fraternal
bonds
between
our
two
parties.''
