Coromandel H1 sales, profits up

Chennai, Oct 23 (UNI) Coromandel Fertilisers Limited today reported a sales turnover of Rs 1,166.84 crore during the half year ended September 30, 2007 as against Rs 1,120.38 crore in the corresponding period last year.

A company release here said the gross profit before depreciation, interest and taxes for the half year was Rs 160.72 crore as against Rs 133.16 crore during the same period last year.

The net profit stood at Rs 79.24 crore as against Rs 63.07 crore during the corresponding period last year, an increase of 25.6 per cent, the release added.
