Case registered against vet students for ragging
Thrissur, Oct 23 (UNI) Police have registered a case against five students of the Veterinary College in Mannuthy here, following a ragging incident in the college hostel, that led to suicide attempt by the "victim".
Police said Manu, a first year student at the college and native of Neyyattinkara, attempted suicide by cutting a vein in his arm.
He was admitted to the Private Jubilee Mission Hospital here.
Kerala Agricultural University Vice Chancellor K R Viswambaran said stringent action would be taken against those found guilty.
A committee would be appointed to monitor the situation regarding ragging incidents, he added.
