Car falls in canal, one die, two missing

Datia, MP, Oct 23 (UNI) Five people were washed away this evening when their car fell into a canal at Indergarh area near Belua village in this district, police said.

''While one person died in the incident, two others were rescued safely. A search was underway for two others,'' Superintendent of Police M P Mudgal said.

The victims, who hailed from Gwalior, were returning after visiting a religious place when the incident occurred.

The deceased was identified as K K Gulati. Pradeep Verma and Sunil Kushwah were rescued. Ramesh Kushwah and one other were missing.
