Apollo reports 33 pc growth

Chennai, Oct 23 (UNI) Leading health service provider, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited (AHEL) has reported a 33 per cent growth in its net profit for the quarter ended September 30.

An AHEL release here today said the company recorded a net profit of Rs 236 million as compared to Rs 177 million in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company had also achieved a 27 per cent increase in the total income at Rs 2,817 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007, compared to Rs 2,333 million in the corresponding quarter, previous year.

The company was targeting an added strength of 1000 beds in Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Bhuvaneswar. It was also planning a prestigious hospital in Mumbai, the release added.
