Air Deccan staffer killed at IGI airport

New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) An Air Deccan staffer was killed last night in the ramp area of the IGI airport here, after being hit by a vehicle.

The vehicle is yet to be identified, police said.

The airliner said Sanskriti Sinha, aged 21, was a maintenance technician on evening duty at the Delhi International Airport.

''Prima facie it appears to be a tragic case of hit and run. Ms Sinha was in full compliance of all requisite safety requirements and was wearing a high visibility jacket,'' an Air Deccan statement said.

The airline has instituted a detailed enquiry into the matter.

Sinha had worked with Deccan for over a year and half.
