Virk's judicial remand extended

Rupnagar, Oct 22 (UNI) Rupnagar Sessions Judge Rekha Mittal today extended the judicial remand of former Punjab DGP S.S.Virk,who was arrested by the Vigilance Bureau for amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income and for keeping 'cats', till November 5.

The judge also extended the judicial remand of co-accused in the case Vijay Pal Singh Dimpi to November 5.

Earlier,both Virk and Dimpi were produced in the court on the expiry of their earlier judicial remand and on the request of Public Prosecutor Pradeep Mehta the judge extended their judicial remand.

Virk was brought from PGI Chandigarh ,where he has been admitted for the treatment of his disease.

UNI
