Three injured in shootout on Dussehra

Siwan, Oct 22(UNI) The bodyguards of District Magistrate S K Mull allegedly tried to molest some women and opened fire injuring three people on the occasion of Dussehra here last night.

Police Superintendent Sunil Kumar although confirmed the incident of eve-teasing, however, could not confirm the involvement of the bodyguards in the incident. He said an FIR was yet to be lodged in this connection and maintained that action would be taken once the prior formality was completed.

Meanwhile, the names of Shakti Singh and Prithvi Tudu, the bodyguards of the DM, figured in the eveteasing incident.

Both the bodyguards allegedly opened fire when their attempts were resisted by the relatives of the victims at Kali Temple under Town police station. Three people were injured in the shootout.

The two seriously injured were rushed to the Patna Medical College Hospital while the third one was undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
