Tata Teleservices applies for GSM licence

New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) Telecom service provider Tata Teleservices today said it has submitted its application for the GSM spectrum under the new guidelines laid down by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), allowing existing licencees to use spectrum and offer services in both CDMA and GSM technologies.

''We look forward to a level playing field in the industry and await clarity on all aspects of this new announcement from the authorities,'' said a company's spokesperson.
