Take Oppn into confidence before Global Investors Meet: Jamuna

Bhopal, Oct 22 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Assembly Opposition Leader Jamuna Devi today suggested the ruling BJP government to take the Opposition into confidence before the two-day Global Investors Meeting that gets underway in Indore on October 26.

In a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Ms Devi suggested the government refrain from acquiring agricultural land for industries and provide land to industries at market price.

Ms Devi released copies of the letter to the Press today.

She questioned the timing of the meeting since it was organised when the state was witnessing power crisis, poor condition of roads and lacked good infrastructure for health, education and water supply and it would not help people either.

She pointed out that fixing responsibility of bureaucrats was required more than providing political leadership.

Ms Devi demanded that agreements inked during similar meetings in Khajuraho and Bhopal be made public during the meeting.
