Suspended power department employee commits suicide

Mainpuri, Oct 22 (UNI) A suspended power department employee committed suicide in Kotwali area here yesterday, police said today.

On September 28, three employees were suspended for laxity over the death of a hawker. Who was electrocuted after coming in contact of a live wire.

Peeved over being suspended, Jitendra, took the extreme step late last night, police said.

The deceased' relatives today staged a protest in front of the district hospital, alleging he was not in duty in the area, where the incident happened.

They further demanded a case against the power department officials.
