Shopping Festival in Pondy from tomorrow

Puducherry, Oct 22 (UNI) For the eighth successive year, the Puducherry Shopping Festival Committee along with the Tourism Department of the territorial administration will organise the 'Puducherry Shopping Festival' from tomorrow.

Committee President Sivasankaran told newspersons here that Tourism Minister Malladi Krishna Rao would inaugurate the festival.

However, the sales, which would commence on November one, would last 75 days.

He said as many as 58,275 prizes worth Rs 2.5 crore would be given away during the festival. The first prize would be Maruti 800 cars for 25 people while the second prize would be TVS Scooty for 125 people and third prize three gm gold coins for 125 people.
