Rs 50 lakh heroin seized, 2 held

Siddharthnagar, Oct 22 (UNI) Police today claimed to have arrested two smugglers and seized 445 gms heroin, estimated at Rs 50 lakh in the international market, in Khalilabad area of Sant Kabirnagar district.

Police Superintendent Aparna H S today told UNI that Ram Narayan Pandey and Surendra Kumar were nabbed late last night possessing heroin allegedly sourced from Thailand.

Meanwhile, reward of Rs 2,500 had been announced for the police team.
