Railway ticket checker beaten by cop

Ambala, Oct 22 (UNI) Railway ticket checker, Sinranjit Singh Walia was allegedly beaten up by a head constable of CIA staff of the GRP while on duty today.

In his complaint Mr Walia alleged that he had asked the police cop not to park his scooter in the restricted area earmarked for senior Railway officers. He alleged that instead of listening to his request, the constable started slapping him.

He said that he had brought the matter to the notice of the Railway authorities. Taking serious notice of the matter, Ambala Station Manager R K Meena stated that the matter would be raised with the SP GRP for action against HC Krishan Kumar.
