Man burnt during burning of Ravana's effigy

Katni, MP, Oct 22 (UNI) A 32-year-old man sustained severe burn injuries when he fell into burning effigy of 'Ravana' last night at Kemur, about 50 km from district headquarters, police said today.

Dwarka Kol sustained 75 per cent burn injuries. He was rushed to Jabalpur medical college for treatment.

Separate accounts regarding the incident has come forward. Some eyewitnesses said Dwarka reached near the burning effigy and jumped into it.

However, the victim claimed that someone had pushed him.
