K'taka police will keep high vigil on key installations: IGP
Gulbarga, Oct 22 (UNI) Karnataka Insperctor General of Police K R Sreenivasan today said the police would keep a high vigil on key installations.
Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the ITF Men's Tennis tournament here, he said a high alert against any possible terror-related threats would continue, especially in around the major IT companies in the state.
The state would go ahead with its plans to strengthen the anti-terrorism squad, he informed.
The state administration had provided additional security to IT majors, particularly in IT hub of Bangalore city, following reports of possible terror strikes on them. The companies were asked to tighten their private security and screen all outsiders, who visited their facilities, he added.
