Jeweller shot dead

Lucknow, Oct 22 (UNI) Unidentified armed miscreants today shot dead a jeweller in Tajganj area of Agra district and decamped with jewellery he was carrying.

Police said Ashok Kumar was carrying some jewellery in a bag, when he was waylaid by the assailants.

They tried to snatch the bag and shot Ashok, when he offerred resistence. He succumbed on way to hospital.

A case had been registered.
