Haryana earmarks Rs 96 cr for construction of polytechnics
Chandigarh, Oct 22 (UNI) The Haryana government has earmarked a sum of Rs 96.30 crore for the construction of various government polytechnics and industrial training and vocational education institutes during the current financial year.
Stating this here today, PWD Minister Ajay Singh Yadav said the state government wanted to ensure that qualitative technical education could be imparted to the students in the state, he said.
Mr Yadav noted that the government had earmarked a sum of Rs 352.52 crore to be incurred during the current financial year on the construction of building works.
He said a sum of Rs 55.90 crore would be incurred on the construction of buildings of general administration, judiciary and jails.
For the construction of education department buildings during the current financial year, the Public Works Department had undertaken the work amounting to Rs 39.56 crore.
