Gang of robbers busted

Panipat, Oct 23 (UNI) The district police has nabbed three persons when they were attempting to loot vehicles near Dhodpur on Narayana road late last night.

Police sources said here today that the police had seized a country made pistol and a live cartridge and two iron rods from the possession of the three miscreants identified as Balbir Singh and Raju of Urlana and Harpal of Mandi village.

The three accused were produced before the court today and have been sent in police custody for further interrogation.

According to police sources, during preliminary interrogation, the alleged accused had confessed their involvement in four other cases of thefts in the region.

The police hoped that their further interrogation could help in solving other cases of loot and thefts.
