Four kg cannabis seized in HP

Shimla, Oct 22 (UNI) A resident of Uttarakand was arrested today after the Himachal Pradesh Police seized four kg cannabis from his possession at Guma Ruhana, about 70 km from here, police sources today said.

A police party stopped Kasnu Ram, riding a motorcycle, at Guma Ruhana in Chopal area of this district early today and on search seized four kg cannabis from his possession.

The sources said a case has been registered and efforts were on to ascertain as to where the contraband originated from and where it was being smuggled.

A case has been registered under the NDPS act and investigations are on, the sources added.
