CII Quality Summit from Nov one

Bangalore, Oct 22 (UNI) Top corporates from manufacturing, services sector and NGOs in India and abroad will participate in the 15th 'CII Quality Summit' to be held here from November one.

Briefing newspersons on the two-day summit here, Mr K N Shenoy, Chairman of city-based CII Institute of Quality and Vice-Chairman of Volvo India, said the theme of the meet was 'People to Profit: Driving Performance through Organisational Excellence.' The summit would showcase best-in-class quality practices on how companies need to position themselves to meet continuous waves of change and emerging issues in the areas of organisational excellence encompassing productivity, people, processes, customer loyalty and social equity.

CII would also announce the results of the CII-EXIM Bank award for business excellence for 2007. The awards would be in recognition of outstanding performance by companies and promote awareness of excellence in processes, practices and performance, he added.

Over 750 professionals, including CEOs and CFOs of leading business houses would take part in the meet and deliberate on the latest national and international developments, he informed.

Mr K V Kamath, MD and CEO of ICICI Bank would deliver special keynote address, while Prof C K Prahlad would deliver the concluding day address on 'Future at the Bottom of the Peramid.' The other top business leaders and personalities, who would speak, include Dr Noriaki Kano, Chairperson of Asian Network for Quality, Mr Stephen Dorgan of McKinsey and Co, UK, Mr Kuldip Karuna, MD and CEO Sterlite Industries, Mr N R K Raman, CEO, Iflex Solutions and Mr Biplab Majumder, MD, ABB Ltd.
