Call money closes lower at 6.05 pc

Mumbai Oct 22 (UNI) Interbank call money prices today closed lower at 6.05 per cent from previous day's close of 6.10 per cent due to huge funds in the face of thin demand from bankers.

Reserve Bank of India, through one-day reverse repo, received 34 bids worth Rs 34,730 crore at fixed rate of six per cent today.

According to market watchers, call rates will hover around the same levels as long as there is sufficient liquidity and lesser demand in the call money market.
