Army jawan arrested for molesting woman

Shillong, Oct 22 (UNI) Meghalaya police today arrested an army jawan of the 6th Light Infantry, based in Nalbari district of Assam, on charges of molesting a woman here, police said.

The jawan, identified as Sukhinwinder Singh, was arrested from police bazaar area.

However, the state police released the jawan after the army authorities had assured of taking disciplinary action against the accused.
