Rain in delta region; Mettur discharge reduced

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 21 (UNI) The discharge from Stanley Reservoir at Mettur across River Cauvery has been reduced to 10,000 cusecs from 18,295 cusecs following heavy rainfall in the delta region since last night.

PWD sources here this morning said the inflow into the reservoir increased to 21,507 cusecs this morning as against 16,300 cusecs yesterday due to the rainfall.The water level stood at 105.670 feet.
