Poverty-stricken woman along with sons jumps to death

Mahoba, Oct 21 (UNI) Driven by abject poverty, a woman along with her two sons allegedly jumped to death in a well in the impoverished Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh.

According to police, Urmila Kushwaha (25) of Pawa village in the Srinagar area of the district, along with her sons Sanjay (5) and Indresh (1) jumped into the well.

This is the second suicide case in Pawa village in the last one week.

The bodies of the trio were later fished out.

While souces said the family of Pratap Kushwaha was on the threshold of starvation, police have termed the incident fallout of marital strife.

Investigations were under way.
