Ornamental fishes seized in TN

Chennai, Oct 21: As many as 22 ornamental fishes, worth Rs one lakh, were seized from a passenger who arrived here by a Colombo-Chennai flight late last night.

Airport sources said when Customs officials checked the baggage of Rajasekar (43) of Kolathur Area in the city, they found the ornamental fishes in a polythene cover.

The officials seized them and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the passenger.
